Great Potato

I was so proud of my daughters. They have all spent the last months/weeks training for the Great Potato half marathon, and they all did it! They looked so cute in their matching pink shirts. We all woke up early Saturday and I dropped them off at the start line. Its so fun to see the masses of people anxious to run. I watched them start and jumped in the car to cheer them along the way. I stopped at mile 3 and they all looked great! We went further down to mile 6 and were so excited to see them all with big smiles. The bright neon shirts were so much fun! I went with some friends and family to the finish line and had so much fun cheering and cheering on friends and my girls!

EUROPE 2011

For our 30th Wedding anniversary Wade and I went on a trip of a lifetime!!! We had such an incredible time together. We flew into Switzerland, saw wades old mission area, drove through the Alps, stopped in villages along the way, took a train down through Italy, went on a gondolla ride in Venice, and spent time in Rome where we boarded our cruise ship!! We spent 9 days traveling through different countries, Italy, France, Croatia and Spain. We have so many stories to share and countless numbers of pictures to come!! I hope I get to post about it all soon.

Krystins Graduation

We had such a good weekend visiting Rexburg for Kyrstin's college graduation!! The new center was so beautiful and the ceremony was perfect! It was so much fun to have our whole family together, Lily adds so much happiness and the weekend was amazing! We were so proud of Krystin and all her hard work, she has put hours and years into this education and it has all paid off! She has accepted a job up in Anchorage Alaska. Though its going to be so far away (sometimes I don't think I can let her go!) We are so proud of her, her education and the accomplishments she has made. Here are just some fun pictures from the weekend!

Road Trip!!

We had so much fun on this little road trip in October. Wade and Austin went up into the mountains for a week long hunting trip, so Karalee and I decided we would take off on an adventure of our own. We started with Heather and Lily driving over to Jackson Hole WY. It was so Beautiful. Heather had a teaching conference. So we came to play with Lily during the day until Heather could join us in the evening! Its such a fun neat town. The Fall colors were incredible. Lily is such a good baby, and sat so good in her car seat for the 6 hour drive to Wyomig!!

The Tetons

Krystin came to join us for a night from Rexburg. The streets of Jackson are so cute and had so many fun shops to look in.

Our second stop was down to Provo!! We had so much fun seeing Michaela at school. The weather was perfect and kayla was able to show us her life down in Provo!

Our Final stop was up north, to CANADA. It was my niece Katelyn's wedding. It was so much fun to see all my little nieces and nephews. We picked Krystin up in Idaho Falls and were able to spend a fun weekend in Magrath.

Highschool friends : ) I loved catching up with some friends I went to school with.

We had so much fun participating in this event. 4 of my five daugherts, me and my sweet little granddaughter we are able to all walk/run together. Lily was such a good happy baby the whole way. It has been a dream of mine to get all five of my daughters together to do this, and this year we were so close. We missed allyson to a busy day at work but loved having Lily come along.

July 24th we went up to Magrath days!!

This was my final year as camp director.. the girls and I had such a good time. The theme was boot camp. I loved getting to spend that week with leaders and all my young women!!

Temple Trip and Utah

One weekend in July right after girls camp I was able to drive down with Michaela to Utah to visit Karalee and Austin. We had so much fun! I got to see a little bit of their work and then spend time with my mother. We walked around Temple square and went out for a nice dinner!

Lilys Blessing

We had such a good 4th of July this year! I had all five girls home, and we were able to Bless little Lily. It was such a beautiful day!

Karalee, Austin Wade and I were able to go to the Petersons for fireworks that night!

Road Trip

In June I got to take a little road trip down to salt lake with Heather, Lily, and Karalee. We had such a good time. Lily was such a good baby and Heather is an amazing mother. I love being a grandma and getting to spend time with my grandaughter.

We are off to salt lake! Lily did great in the car, Heather just had to feed her a couple times and we made it in good time.

We were all in one hotel room, so Karalee and I loved to get up early when we heard Lily to cuddle and snuggle her, giving heather an extra few minutes of sleep!

Lily got to meet my mother for the first time! This is great grandbaby number 29!! It was so sweet!

Lily at Home

I love spending time over at Heathers house with Lily and Heather. As Wade calls it I am "Lily Looking". I love to cuddle her, hear her sweet baby noises, change her diaper, put on new baby clothes, look into her eyes and just snuggle her and tell her I love her. I tell her how lucky she is to have her Mommy take such loving, patient care of her. She has so many people that love her. She is truly a "little pink bundle of joy".

Lily Jane Davis

On May 10 our first grand baby was born. Lily Jane Davis. She was born 6 lbs. 10 oz. 19.5 in long. She is the sweetest little girl. Heather is doing an amazing job. We are so proud of heather and josh and so excited to watch them learn and grow as parents with this sweet new little baby. I LOVE spending time with her, helping heather out, and giving my little granddaughter kisses and hugs. I couldn't be happier and so excited that they are in boise so close. Wade and I both love this little girl and cant wait to watch her grow each day. Congratulations Heather and Josh!

Rock n Roll!!!!!!!!!!

SEATTLE June 2009.

The last weekend in June our family headed up to Seattle for the Seattle Rock n Roll Marathon...yes some were indeed the runners! While the rest of us were their true supporters :) We missed Heather and Josh but really had a good time. Allyson did an AMAZING job running her first marathon and Krystin did an awesome job running her first half. They had put

such dedication and energy into preparing and it really paid off.

Before the race... They were very excited and ready to run :)

Dad was very good at doing the math to figure out what time the girls would be at what mile, so we could run around seattle to cheer them on along the way!

The day was absolutley BEAUTIFUL. Perfect temperature and a CLEAR BLUE sky in Seattle.

Good job krssy we ar SO proud of you!! you really rocked it :)

mom was their in her tye dye shirt so the girls could spot us along the side of the trail as we watched for them amongst the 25,000 runners!!

kay and Kar jumped in and ran the last few miles with Ally. She was so strong and it was SO much fun to push her through those last gruling miles, I am still so Amazed with how well she ran it!

Good job Ally we are SO impressed and proud of you :)

TYE DYE

For girls camp this year we decided to Tye Dye T-shirts. We had a fun busy Wednesday night activity and the girls each got to color thier own shirt. I think they all turned out so cute!
We managed to get by almost stain free....Michaela was our worst victim with one solid pink hand and one solid orange hand. Many Many washes later she has restored her little hands to their origianl color!

SUNVALLEY

I got to go up to Sun Valley to visit Allyson for the weekend! She has been living in Hailey since January and I decided it was long past due for a visit. It was so gorgeous... rainy, but we still managed to have an awesome time :)
We walked around some shops and had an AMAZING breakfast!

and SUPRISE! Krystin and Sarie drove up from rexburg to meet us! It was really good to see them.

It made me want to ski SO bad. The mountain looks funny without snow, but our hike was so pretty, sadly it was cut a little bit short due to lightning, but we still had a few minutes to get some quick pictures!

So ally is and Krystin are training to run in the Seattle Half and Full Marathon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so amazed at how determined and how hard they are working. With this new hobby, the Bateman family has invested in some asics. It was funny to see such a large pile of shoes, all the same kind. While we were there ally had her TWENTY MILER. wow. and she ROCKED it. Krystin put in her fare share of miles as well. The path she gets to run while she lives up there is incredible! Its awesome because its so distracting while you run, to look around at the amazing views.

Iron Man 70.3

Last Saturday we had the chance to go downtown and watch the Iron man 70.3. It was a lot of fun. The weather was not anywhere near what people hoped, nonstop rain! It poured all morning. Still the streets of BODO were lined with friends, family and people of Boise to cheer on these incredible athletes. We were able to watch them transition from biking to running and then move down the street to watch the finish.

These first two men sprinted past the finish line. Their time was amazing, ending with 5 minute miles!

We all tried to stay under the umbrellas... but some how when we left we wereall still soaking wet!

The athletes would come rushing in on their bikes, find their number and park them. They would grab their bag and switch into their running shoes, in soaking wet soaks! It was amazing to watch.

Heather is married and working in Boise! Krystin is working hard in Rexburg at BYU-I. Karalee is at Utah state and loving college. Michalela is enjoying her junior year as an upper classman and staying busy with soccer, friends and school. (these pictures are slightly outdated..but from the fiesta bowl!)
